Alex Elliott-Howery is a cook, author and co-owner of Cornersmith cafes and Cooking School in Sydney, Australia. Dubbed the “Godmother of Preserving”, Alex has established herself as the authority on preserving, a pioneer in the war on food waste and a trusted source for the future of food. Alex has appeared on TV, and been featured on the radio, podcasts and in the media in Australia and internationally. Alex taught herself to preserve when her family was young and became interested in how to make better food choices. What started with pickling at home turned into an obsession for all traditional preserving methods and led her to open the Cornersmith Picklery.
